CHÂTEAU PEYRELONGUE

Château Peyrelongue has been going through history for over two centuries. Derived from the local dialect, its name refers to the “Pierre Longue” which stood at the entrance to the property, at the crossroads. Menhirs marked out the pilgrimage routes to Saint Jacques de Compostela over the centuries.
Located at the foot of the Saint Emilion hillside, Château Peyrelongue has been a family property for more than two centuries. After passing the torch from one family to another, in 2015 we had the chance to cultivate its vines, the oldest of which are nearly 60 years old.

ABOUT OUR WINES

Since 2015, we have been cultivating our vines in sustainable agriculture to limit our impact on the environment.
We are proud to offer you, since the 2018 vintage, quality wines, certified "from a level 3 High Environmental Value operation". This certification attests to the attention we pay daily to our vines in their environment: respect for biodiversity, traceability and reasoning of our work to limit the ecological impact.
Members of the Fédération des Vignerons Indépendants, we are committed to cultivating our vines while respecting our terroir, to vinify our wine and sell it by sharing our passion.
From the vine to the bottle, it is with passion that we work every day to offer you an “exhilarating” experience.

SAINT EMILION

A bit of history

A true open-air museum, the village of Saint Emilion welcomes around one million visitors each year; wine lovers, history buffs and the curious ones. Located in the heart of the Libourne country, 40 kilometers away from Bordeaux, the medieval city is full of various riches.

Saint Emilion has enjoyed the reputation of its oenological heritage for several centuries.

In 1999, for the first time in the world, a vineyard was classified as a World Heritage Site by Unesco as "a remarkable example of a historic wine-growing landscape which has survived intact" and "which exceptionally illustrates intensive cultivation of the wine-growing area in a precisely delimited region '
